Meet the Team Behind the 2026 Berkeley Omnium
The Berkeley Omnium presented by Expert Tree Service has always been more than just a race weekend. It’s a celebration of Bay Area cycling culture, teamwork, and community. As we gear up for the 70th Anniversary edition of the Berkeley Hills Road Race and the return of the Berkeley Streets Criterium on April 18–19, 2026, we want to highlight the incredible people working behind the scenes to make this event special.
This year’s Berkeley Omnium organizing team represents some of the most passionate riders and leaders from clubs across the Bay Area. Each brings their experience, commitment, and love for the sport to create a race weekend that welcomes juniors, collegiate athletes, women, masters, beginners, and elite racers alike.
The 2026 Berkeley Omnium Team
Paul — President, Berkeley Bicycle Club (BBC)
As BBC’s president, Paul anchors the event with historical knowledge, club direction, and community connections. His leadership ensures that the Omnium continues to honor its legacy while evolving for the next generation.
Jason (Omnium) — Dolce Vita Cycling
Jason is a cornerstone in the East Bay racing community. Known for his level-headed leadership and “get-it-done” attitude, he brings years of race experience, logistics expertise, and dedication to making races safe and smooth for everyone.
KC (Berkeley Hills Road Race) & Justin (Omnium) — Revolution Racing
KC and Justin bring high-energy, detail-oriented leadership to the Omnium team. From course marshall to rider experience, they’re focused on delivering the most organized and welcoming race weekend possible.
Nicolas (Criterium/Collegiate) & Adrian (Collegiate) — Cal Cycling
Representing the powerhouse collegiate program at UC Berkeley, Nicolas and Adrian bring fresh ideas, technical race knowledge, and a deep passion for developing the next generation of racers.
Their leadership is also key as the 2026 Berkeley Omnium officially includes collegiate race categories.
Helen (NICA Team Liaison) — Monarch Racing
Helena brings a powerful combination of racing experience, leadership, and advocacy for women’s cycling. Her involvement ensures the Omnium continues to advance inclusivity, promotes competitive women’s fields, and strengthens connections across Bay Area women’s teams.
Veerle — Terun
Her experience across the NorCal women’s racing scene helps ensure inclusivity, thoughtful category design, and a fantastic experience for racers of all levels.
Hussein & Todd — Kia Velo
Hussein and Todd bring volunteer support, sponsor relationships, and years of race-day experience. Their enthusiasm helps power the massive teamwork required to run a safe and exciting two-day omnium.
A Special Thanks: Super Sprinkle
For the past two years, we’ve worked closely with Greg from Super Sprinkle to support and coordinate the volunteer effort. His dedication, leadership, and consistency have been instrumental in helping us deliver well-organized race days.
We are deeply appreciative of Super Sprinkle’s support and help. The Berkeley Omnium simply wouldn’t be the same without their contribution.
Why This Team Matters
The Berkeley Omnium is not run by one club. It’s powered by all of us.
Each team represented—BBC, DVC, Revolution, Cal Cycling, Terun, Kia Velo, and community partners like Super Sprinkle has contributed racers, volunteers, and leaders who share the same goal:
to elevate NorCal racing and create an unforgettable experience for every rider.
This collaboration reflects the true strength of Bay Area cycling: community over competition, teamwork over ego, and a shared mission to grow the sport.
What’s Next
Over the coming months, this team will be working on:
Finalizing course logistics and safety planning
Enhancing racer experience for juniors, women, new riders, and masters
Developing collegiate race formats
Expanding sponsor partnerships
Recruiting volunteers across all clubs
Creating the best Berkeley Omnium experience yet
If you’re part of the NorCal racing community, we’d love to have you involved, whether as a racer, volunteer, sponsor, or supporter.
