The Berkeley Omnium isn’t just a race. It’s an investment in the future of our community. As one of Northern California’s most historic and celebrated cycling events, the Berkeley Omnium continues its commitment to youth development by directing event proceeds toward local high school NICA team.

These programs help young athletes build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and leadership both on and off the bike. By supporting the Berkeley Omnium, racers, partners, and sponsors are helping fund gear, travel, coaching, race entry fees, and essential safety equipment for hundreds of student-athletes across the East Bay.

Beneficiaries of the Berkeley Omnium

Funds raised through the event directly support riders from:

• Berkeley High School

• El Cerrito High School

• Albany High School

• Oakland Composite

• Oakland Tech High School

• Skyline High School

Each of these programs provides a positive and inclusive environment for youth of all backgrounds, encouraging healthy lifestyles, community engagement, and a lifelong love of the sport.

Why Youth Cycling Matters

Cycling is more than competition; it teaches responsibility, goal-setting, and how to push past challenges. For many students, joining their school’s cycling team opens the door to new friendships, greater academic motivation, and unforgettable outdoor experiences.

Yet the cost of participation can be a barrier. That’s where the Berkeley Omnium community steps in.

Local Businesses Helping Local Athletes

We believe in a simple mission: when local businesses invest in local youth, our entire community becomes stronger. Sponsorship dollars and event proceeds help ensure that no student is left behind because of financial limitations.

Ride With a Purpose

Whether entering the race, volunteering, cheering from the sidelines, or partnering with us as a sponsor, you’re helping empower the next generation of cyclists and community leaders.

Join us in celebrating the 2026 Berkeley Omnium, where the thrill of racing fuels real opportunities for young athletes right here in the East Bay.
