The 70th Berkeley Hills Road Race

The Berkeley Hills Road Race — or BHRR as racers know it — turns 70 years old in 2026. That’s seven decades of iconic climbs, sweeping ridge views, tactical battles, and the kind of gritty effort that NorCal cycling is famous for.

The course hasn’t gotten any easier and that’s exactly how we like it.

The Return of the Berkeley Streets Criterium

If you enjoy fast-paced, wheel-to-wheel action — the Berkeley Streets Criterium is back!

▪️ Laps through the vibrant heart of the city

▪️ A perfect blend of strategy and adrenaline

Few experiences bring fans this close to the action. It’s cycling’s version of a front-row seat.

Equal Prize Money & Stronger Community Support

Thanks to the generous backing of Expert Tree Service, the 2026 Berkeley Omnium will offer:

$10,000 Cash Purse

Split equally between the Men’s and Women’s P/1/2 fields

And that’s not all…

A portion of race proceeds will directly support local NICA high school mountain bike teams, helping young riders discover confidence, community, and the lifelong joy of cycling.
